LISAS
The duo LISAS was formed in 2011 and the collaboration got a kick start at the EBU Folk Festival in Croatia. Since then, LISAS has performed in Europe, Canada and the USA. Their debut album, Fiddle and Accordion Conversations, was praised by the critics and was chosen as one of the century's most important folk music records in the magazine LIRA. It was also awarded the Manifest Prize 2018 in the category, People of the Year.
LISAS also collaborates with artists such as Lena Willemark, Sofia Karlsson, Knut Reiersrud, and the Norwegian string orchestra, Trondheimsolistene. In 2019, the duo was awarded the Sigvard and Marianne Bernadotte scholarship for their "newly created traditional" interaction and musicianship.
This concert features music from the album Etiam, which will be released in January 2023. This album is compiled of mostly their own compositions where each piece has its own carefully chiseled character with touches of baroque, contemporary art music, and tango - like a rosary of beads in beautiful light and harmonious colors.
